HOW IT WORKS

See where your monthly payment goes

Each simulated month, estimated interest is added to the remaining balance. Your payment then covers that interest and reduces the principal. The process repeats until the modeled balance reaches zero.

Monthly rate = APR ÷ 12Principal paid = payment − monthly interest
Example$5,000 balance

20% APR
$200 monthly payment
+ $100 extra payment scenario

Use the calculator to compare how the extra payment changes estimated payoff time and total interest.

FAQ

Credit card payoff calculator FAQ

How long will it take to pay off my credit card?

It depends on your balance, APR and monthly payment. Enter those values above to generate an estimated payoff timeline.

What happens if I pay extra each month?

In this model, the extra amount goes toward the monthly payment and can reduce principal faster, shortening the payoff period and reducing estimated interest.

Why does PRAVIAX say my payment is too low?

If your payment does not exceed the modeled monthly interest, the balance will not decline under these assumptions.

Is the payoff date guaranteed?

No. This is an estimate. Actual interest calculations, fees, payment timing, APR changes and new purchases can change the real payoff date.
