HOW IT WORKS
Time arithmetic without the carrying
Time is different from ordinary decimal math because every 60 minutes becomes one hour. The calculator converts every duration into minutes, performs the addition or subtraction, then converts the final result back into hours and minutes.
Total minutes = (hours × 60) + minutes

Can I subtract hours and minutes?

Can minutes be greater than 59?
Yes. Values are normalized automatically. For example, 90 minutes becomes 1 hour 30 minutes.
What are decimal hours?
Decimal hours represent the same duration as a decimal. For example, 30 minutes equals 0.50 hours.
