1

Add every debt

Enter each balance, APR and required minimum monthly payment.

2

Attack the smallest

Minimums continue on every debt while your extra payment goes toward the smallest active balance.

3

Roll payments forward

When one balance reaches zero, its former minimum joins the snowball for the next debt.

HOW IT WORKS

Each payoff makes the snowball larger

The snowball method orders debts by balance rather than interest rate. PRAVIAX models each month, pays required minimums and directs available snowball money to the smallest active debt.

Monthly interest = balance × APR ÷ 12Snowball = extra budget + freed minimum payments
ExampleThree debts + $300 extra

Store Card — $1,200
Credit Card — $5,000
Personal Loan — $10,000

The $1,200 balance is targeted first. After it is cleared, its former minimum payment joins the amount attacking the next debt.

FAQ

Debt snowball calculator FAQ

How does the debt snowball work?

Debts are prioritized from the smallest balance to the largest. You continue minimum payments on the other debts and direct extra money to the current target.

What happens after I pay off a debt?

Its former minimum payment is added to the available snowball amount for the next active debt.

How many debts can I add?

This PRAVIAX version supports up to ten debts in one payoff plan.

Is snowball always the lowest-interest method?

No. Snowball chooses the smallest balance first. Prioritizing higher-interest debts can produce a different interest result.
